Mukul Roy joins BJP, says will expose TMC policies

mukulroy759.jpg

“CPM r birudhey Trinamool Congress r protishtha hoichilo 17 December, 1997, sedin aami prothom shakhor kori” (Trinamool Congress Party was formed to fight against the atrocities and misrule of CPM and I was the first signatory) these were the opening words of Mukul Roy on Friday evening who was given a warm welcome by senior BJP leader and Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad into the party.

With that Mukul Roy, once the n umber two in Trinamool Congress and close confidante of party supremo Mamata Banerjee joined the Saffron Brigade.

The joining of Roy was just a formal obligation since October before Durga Puja, it was clear that Roy would join the Saffron Brigade. He had been regularly meeting BJP senior leaders in Delhi.   One saw this last year itself when Roy maintained a distance with the Trinamool high command and even did not attend crucial party parliamentary meetings in Kolkata.

Former Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Roy on Friday officially joined the Bhartiya Janata Party. “Happy to inform that Mukul Roy is joining BJP, we welcome him,” senior party leader an union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said at a press conference. He added that Roy’s experience will be benefit the party. “His experience will benefit us surely I believe,” said Prasad.

Talking to reporters, Roy said he is priveleged to work under Prime Minister Narendra Modi. “Today I have Joined BJP and it’s my proud privilege to work under PM Modi,” said Roy.

mukul-roy-story_650_032415085620.jpg

Roy had last month quit TMC and resigned from Rajya Sabha membership after fallout with party chief Mamata Banerjee. After quitting from TMC, Roy had said all members in a party “should be comrades and not servants”.

Roy was suspended for six years for “anti-party activities” by the TMC following his announcement on September 25 that he would resign from the party after Durga Puja.

Amid speculation of his joining the BJP, Roy had said in 1998 when the TMC had seat sharing arrangement with the saffron party in West Bengal, its leadership had said that BJP is not communal. He recalled that he was one of the signatories when the Election Commission had recognised the TMC as a political party.

Last year Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee had removed Roy from general secretary position and placed her nephew Abhishek Banerjee as party general secretary. The last straw to break camel’s back was when Roy was again removed from Panchayat committee and entire responsibility was given to Abhishek Banerjee. It was an insult that Roy could not accept.

The party and Roy though kept saying that things were fine and it was the media which is being too much speculative.  Though he never made any objectionable remarks against Trinamool or party supremo Mamata Banerjee.  The fact is it was from that moment Mukul Roy had decided to quit the party.

Mamata-Udhav meeting shows ‘ideology’ doesn’t matter in politics

Shall we assume a new equation is taking place between Trinamool Congress and Shiv Sena. I know many will rebut by saying I am cynical and look ‘dark sides’ of every Mamata move but honestly I am stunned by today’s development. Predominantly because of two reasons –
mamata-uddhav_647_110217042115.jpg
One, I have no objection her becoming anti-BJP (though it was she who had infused BJP in the state in late 90’s) but in doing that she has forgotten the basic structure or formation of Shiv Sena. Inspite of being staunch Hindu fundamentalist I have always had respects for Balasaheb Thakray for his other qualities especially a strong statesman. Mamata Banerjee’s meeting with Udhav and Aditya Thackeray has put Mamata Banerjee’s ‘secular’ identity in question. How could she forget the ‘Hindu’ fundamentalist facade of Shiv Sena. Can History forget Balasaheb Thakre’s famous words “if you are ashamed, then my boys have done it” when Babri Masjid was raised to ground on December 6, 1992, the dark day in Indian hostory.  LK Advani who had instigated the kar sevaks since his Rath Yatra days was taken aback, he was confused to see the outcome. Advani, did not expect this to happen and had expressed regrets.

Two, Mamata Banerjee seems to have forgotten that her state is facing severe Dengue problem. She may not like to call it Dengue or shy away from ‘real’ numbers but the fact is till today deaths have taken place.
IndiaTv1bdb9a_dengue.jpg
dengue-patients-759.jpg
Though, her government refuse to accept that the actual number is much more than what it claims and Dengue is gradually taking shape of an epidemic.
Well, coming back to Mamata meeting Shiv Sena, its more a personal crusade to gather all the anti-BJP factions.
udhav-thakrey-.jpg
Trinamool Congress must take a stand and declare their ideology because if all these things are done to defeat Narendra Modi at the centre (which is Mamata’s personal crusade to take revenge for Sharadha, Narada, Rose Valley and likes) then its totally on vested interests, not a political crusade in the interest of India.
Besides, tomorrow when Shiv Sena will ask Trinamool to support them on some issue or the other, will Mamata Banerjee and her Trinamool Congress be able to stand beside them inspite of having ideological differences, Mamata Banerjee must gite a thought…

Bengal CM fumes at Governor over call, herself fails to control situation

Is religion really over humanity? Swami Vivekananda was once asked this question and he immediately said, religion has immense significance but that does not mean that religion will overpower humanity. Swami Vivekananda had said “religion is people, people not for religion”.

Basirhat-1.jpg

Well, I have been watching a particular news channel running a segment on what has happened in Bengal and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s fuming over Governor seeking a reply from her over deteriorating situation across Murshidabad, Bashirhat and Baduria. Since afternoon, this segment is on and is going overboard. I have no issues against the segment since the channel has brought the facts on the table which were being suppressed since long. My question is why people pay heed to politicians and fundamentalists who fan communal sentiments.

viewimage.jpg

Since ages, Hindu and Muslim have been staying like one entity then why, what has gone wrong that communal tensions have become a regular feature. Rabindranath Tagore had raised his voice and used “Rakhi Bandhan” to bridge the gap. In the words of famous poet and writer Nazrul Islam who said “mora ek brinte duti kusum Hindu-Musalman, Muslim tar nayan moni Hindu tahar praan” (we are same flowers from same tree Hindu-Musalman, if Muslim happens to be the eyes then Hindu is the bossom). Another great poet Iqbal said, “maz’hab nahin sikhata apas men bayr rakhna hindi hai hum, watan hai hindostan hamara” (religion doesn’t teach enmity among each another, we are one and our country Hindustan is one, hail Hindustan”.

Why can’t people take a call and stand firm against these politicians, fundamentalists and tell them that these elements have no place in the society, such people are just not welcomed.Let’s now take the call and show these politicians and fundamentalists the door, they deserve that…

Ayush Ministry says, non veg food not good for pregnant women

2017-06-13-PHOTO-00000026_130617-011725-225x400.jpg

To what extent this Saffron government will stoop, any limit left at all. Forget about the harassment this government has been causing to people on name of ‘demonetisation’, making ‘Aadhaar’ mandatory and forthcoming GST (to fulfill whims of Prime Minister) but it seems have also forgotten the basic of morals and ethics. Saffron brigade has totally forgotten that ethics’ or ‘morals’ is not just running after Lord Rama and Janam Bhoomi or chanting ‘mantras and ‘shlokas’. The recent booklet published from Ayush Ministry is a nothing but a crap and also an insult to women. It says stay away from non veterinarian foods to have a healthy baby, that means those who are having baby after eating non veterinarian foods are not having having healthy baby.

The book has issued advisory to women to away from ‘lust’, sexual desire’ apart from anger, excitement etc. These words in itself reflects the filthy mindset…Condemn!

Pity! Lord Rama, Lord Bajrangbali pitted against each other to gain political mileage

ram-vs-hanuman-story_647_040517093524

Never in the history of Kolkata and Bengal, people had witnessed such “pomp and show” to celebrate Ramnavmi. There had been people celebrating the festival but not on such a big platform. Saffron brigade has been eyeing Bengal, for quite some time now, and tried every possible poll tactics to woo voters during the last Assembly polls. Trinamool Congress had given BJP a tough fight. Once again the BJP is gearing up for the forthcoming Panchayat polls slated to take place later this month. The Saffron Brigade seems to have gained extra ‘confidence’ and ‘calories’ after they won in Uttar Pradesh. The enthusiastic BJP on Wednesday today, tried to en-cash the festival of Ramnavmi. The Saffron Brigade had invited large number of Trinamool MPs and MLAs.

Trying to spread and woo masses, the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sagh (RSS) alongwith its ally BJP had taken out large processions across the state which were attended by women and children with naked swords and other weapons. On Tuesday, Bengal Pradesh BJP President Dilip Ghosh had said, its an exhibition ‘shakti’ and there is nothing wrong in exhibiting swords and weapons. Well, Saffron Brigade is mistaking Bengal with other states where they have taken help of Hindutva. Someone must tell them that Bengal is the last state to heed to ‘communal card’.

west-bengal-bjp-08-1457423761 (1)

This may turn a boomerang for the Saffron Brigade which had may had some chances, if at all it had. Trinamool Congress too is not much behind, it has announced that they will offer special prayers at all the Bajrangbali Temples across the state.

FotorCreated1.jpg

Pity! Lord Rama and Lord Bajrangbali are pitted against each other for political gains, in real, Lord Bajrangbali had been such a big devotee of Lord Rama and I am sure would never had approved the filthy way of en-cashing religion…

Senior citizens aggrieved over Govt announcing revision of Interest Rates every three months,

narendra-modi-takes-charge.jpg

“achhey din aane wale hai” was the catchline of Narendra Modi three years back which was more of a conviction, a promise made to the public of this country and perhaps, this had worked ‘magic’ and electorates decided to vote Modi to power. He became the prime minister, but had anything really changed? Well, yes, it has but on a negative note. I am not going into all that here since we all know what has actually happened, and what has been part of ‘lip-service’.

Many had initially compliment the prime minister over his “demonetisation drive” but later realised that it was playing havoc on the lives of common people. On Friday, Finance Ministry has issued fresh diktat, that from now onwards there will be revision of interest rates every three months. This has put a section of people especially those who depend largely on this amount. On the other hand, various things are getting dearer either directly or indirectly.

During one of the television debate today, I was surprised to hear that financial experts are now suggesting rather recommending to invest money in mutual funds, shares and other volatile deposits rather than investigating in banks and post offices since these are already going overboard with investment. In this context, I would also like to mention various banks including State Bank of India (SBI) compelling customers to maintain a minimum balance ranging from Rs 3,000 to Rs 5,000. This is enough burden on many but this government is least interested. Many even mock Modi’s endless foreign trips which are being re-filled by tax-payers.

Finally, there is not much hope since this government which talks big about poor and underprivileged have hardly any consideration for the people. The worst affected are those who work in private sectors since there they don’t have the privilege of enjoying recommendations of pay commissions that to in retrospective effect…I will conclude with what I began, “achhey din aane wale hai” since the conviction is still in future tense and there is bleak chance of attaining this goal…
